FarmVille Collections

Here’s a list of the new FarmVille collections. The goal is to obtain each item within a collection. You can trade in a collection for 250 XP, 5000 coins or 5 fuel refills. As you can see, it’s not really worth collecting for the trade-in value, but it is a fun challenge.

24×24 Plantation Finally Here?

FarmVille Plantation
It appears as if the 24×24 Plantation may soon be available on FarmVille. In the marketplace you can click on “Buy” and you will see the popup shown above. If the Plantation indeed is released as a Haiti fundraiser it will no doubt be a huge success and will provide a great boost to the Haiti relief fund.

EDIT: The “Buy” button is now lit up for people to use, but you cannot yet purchase the expansion. It appears that the expansion will cost FV cash, although the actual number is still yet unknown.

FarmVille Seeds Guide

Every FarmVille planter has to plant seeds. The question is, what is the best seed for you to plant? You will need to consider your time constraints (when you will be able to harvest your finished crops?) and your goals (are you looking to maximize XP or coins?)

Below is a list of available seeds, sorted by maturity time. There are a number of ways to can sort seeds (Maturity time, total profit, total XP, XP/hr, profit/hr). If you want to save yourself the hassle of doing these types of calculations yourself, I highly recommend my FarmVille Rapid Growth guide. Plus, there’s currently a special deal going on so you’ll get it super cheap!

To use this information, you should first determine how long you want to wait until harvesting again. For example, if you’re doing this at night before going to bed, you may want to choose a crop that takes 8 hours to mature. You then determine your goal (XP or coins). Then see if your current level allows you to plant that crop. That’s it! It’s easy.

FarmVille Stacking Tutorial

FarmVille fence and hay bale stacking is the cool thing to do these days it seems, which is why I’m providing you with this quick tutorial. When you see a farmer who has mastered the art of stacking to build something unique you can’t help but be jealous. Some of them are definitely a work of art. Here’s an example of a farm stacking fences to build towers:

In case you didn’t know, it’s actually impossible to stack fences and hay bales in FarmVille. The stacking is actually an optical illusion created by the placement of these items.

I have included some great FarmVille stacking tutorial videos below that show you how to stack both fences and hay bales. It will then be up to you to create your own farm designs.
